Predicted Manchester United Line-Up Against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester United will be eager to return to winning ways and climb to fifth in the Premier League standings when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Monday night. Ruben Amorim has a new concern ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Diogo Dalot picked up a minor injury in the game against West Ham United, and Amorim has been monitoring his fitness closely. Dalot and Matthijs de Ligt, who sustained a knock, face late fitness tests to determine their availability, but both are expected to feature against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, Harry Maguire, with a hamstring problem, and Benjamin Sesko, with a knee injury, remain in the treatment room, although they are expected to return next week. During his pre-match press conference, held after the game against West Ham United, Amorim provided fitness updates on Dalot and de Ligt.

The Manchester United manager said, “I think so [Dalot and de Ligt being fit to lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers]. We’ll see.”

Amorim also responded to questions regarding the limited game time for Kobbie Mainoo and Shea Lacey. The Manchester United boss said, “I see it. I see it and I just want to win. I try to put the players. I don’t look who it is. I don’t care about that. I’m just trying to put the best players on the pitch.

“You have [Manuel] Ugarte that played two games. One of them, Case [Casemiro] was out. Bruno [Fernandes] is always fit [and] is the guy that is doing his position. So maybe it has to do with that. Sometimes, when Bryan [Mbeumo] is not there, I put Amad [there] because I have other wing-backs to play and sometimes it’s hard.

“So you are asking me, why I don’t put Lacey to play, when I have other guys that are internationals and also they are on the bench? So I try to put the best guys, the prepared guys for this moment of the club, and try to win a game. That’s the only thing, guys.”

Senne Lammens will take his usual place between the posts, with Manchester United expected to line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday. The central defensive unit will consist of Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw. Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu will operate as the two wing-backs.

In midfield, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes will form the double pivot. Joshua Zirkzee is set to lead the line for the visitors, supported by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo playing just behind him. Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo and Diogo Dalot are likely to be among the substitutes for the away side.Predicted Manchester United XI: Lammens; Mazraoui, de Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Zirkzee
