Liverpool Poised to Replace Salah with Bradley Barcola

Liverpool are showing “very active” interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, according to French publication Le 10 Sport.

The Reds are believed to be among a number of clubs eyeing a move for the 23-year-old forward, who is weighing up his future in France. PSG are reportedly in discussions with Barcola and his representatives over a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2028.

The Frenchman is said to be considering all options, as he is “not entirely satisfied” with his situation at PSG, having struggled for consistency under Luis Enrique this season.

According to Le 10 Sport, Barcola has several suitors in the Premier League amid his uncertain future at PSG, with both Liverpool and Arsenal named among those interested in the forward.

The 23-year-old has yet to decide whether he wishes to continue at PSG, despite recently receiving an offer to extend his contract that includes a significant salary increase. An improved deal would reportedly make Barcola one of the top earners at Parc des Princes, as he is currently earning around £170,000 per week.

Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 and played a key role in their treble-winning campaign last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 21 assists in 64 appearances across all competitions.

The forward, whom Liverpool view as “world-class” according to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, has made 18 appearances for PSG this term, scoring five goals and providing three assists.

Reports of Liverpool’s interest in Barcola coincide with growing uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.

The Egyptian forward made headlines following the Reds’ 3-3 draw with Leeds on Saturday, after which he accused the club of “throwing him under the bus” and revealed his relationship with Slot is broken.

Salah also suggested he could leave Liverpool in January in a revealing interview that sent shockwaves across the football community and within the club itself.

According to Romano, Liverpool are considering Salah’s status ahead of their clash with Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday, with the possibility that the 33-year-old could be left out of the squad.
