United States Warns of Possible NATO Withdrawal
The United States is cautioning its NATO allies that Europe must urgently assume greater responsibility for its own defence. According to an exclusive Reuters report, the Pentagon has set an ambitious 2027 deadline for European nations to take on most of the alliance’s conventional military capabilities, a shift that could significantly reshape the transatlantic relationship.
If European allies fail to meet this target, Washington may reduce its role in NATO planning.
